Aportia collects the minimum data necessary to operate the service. This includes your email address (for account creation and communications), portfolio asset data you manually enter or import, and technical data such as browser type, IP address, and session identifiers for security and performance purposes. We do not collect financial credentials, bank passwords, or brokerage login details.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to provide Aportia's portfolio tracking, AI analysis, and dividend intelligence features. We do not sell, license, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be used to improve the service.
3. Data Storage & Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We operate on a read-only data architecture — we never request write access to your brokerage accounts. Our infrastructure is hosted on SOC 2-aligned cloud providers within the European Union.
4. Third-Party Services
Aportia integrates with third-party data providers for real-time market prices and fundamental data (including CoinGecko for cryptocurrency pricing and SEC EDGAR for public company filings). These integrations are data-read-only and do not involve transmission of your personal account information.
5. Your Rights

6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
